The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 3 -17th May 2022 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative)
A ‘will it’ ‘won’t it’ rain night but thankfully the heavy rain held off until after the finish. We kept the race inside the bowl tonight, putting safety first. A crash in the ABCD race just over half way through saw 2 riders down and 1 on the grass, hope you both feel better soon and a massive thank you to the great care given from William Nolan our superb first aider.
The ABCD race broke up with 2 away, over 1 minute up for the majority of the race, staying away to take 1st and 2nd with another break going during the last couple of laps to take a staggered 3rd ,4th and 5th with the bunch sprinting for 6th place. The EFG race had a few break away attempts but all came together for a bunch sprint at the end.Great to see everyone and well done to all our winners. Many thanks to all our helpers tonight for setting up and helping out as always making it possible to run these events.

The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 2 – 10th May 2022 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative)
A dry albeit windy night of racing going out the gates to the top car park after 30 minutes.
The ABCD race saw the return of Gavin Howell making the race fast with all attempts at breaking away brought back n Gavin winning the bunch sprint clear of everyone at the finish with a impressive average speed of over 25mph on a technical course.
The EFG race saw the impressive E cat Criterion national champion James Stewart break away with Steve Dunton gaining over a minute on the bunch n then leaving Steve on the last couple of laps to win. Steve held onto second with the bunch coming in for the sprint won by Robert Tillott. Fantastic to see 3 ladies racing tonight too, with Helen Taylor Carter (Mim) giving the men a run for their money at times.
Well done everyone n thank you to our team of helpers.
