Region 9 is proud to present this season’s Summer Race Series. 2024 was a great success with over 160 riders entering at least one of the events, and closely fought competition in all nine age categories throughout the series. This year, Chris Beales has very kindly stepped up to assist Julian Niles-Cunnington in planning, organising and overseeing the series. Many thanks to Chris. The series has been named the EDDIE COOK Series to bring parity to Eddie, who co-founded LVRC (BMCR) in 1986.
This year, due to the new Condor Cycles Spring Series throughout March and April, the number of summer races has been reduced to eight. The best six of a rider’s results will count towards the overall. A smaller series in number, but just as big in stature I promise!
Races are spread over four circuits in the South East including Hog Hill, Cyclopark, Hillingdon and Crystal Palace. These events include the Region 9 Championships (Cyclopark) and a One day 3 Stage race at Hog Hill.

Points are awarded for category placings as follows: 1st 20 points, 2nd 17 points, 3rd 14 points, 4th 12 points, 5th 10 points, 6th 8 points, 7th 6 points, 8th 4 points, 9th 3 points & 10th 2 points. Results from all five races will count towards the series rankings. All races are/will be posted on RiderHQ.
Awards will be presented at the Chairman’s Race at Hog Hill on September 28th. All races will be listed on Rider HQ, and results will be posted very soon after each event on the BMCR Website and all the socials.
Let’s make the 2025 series even better than last year. We hope to see everyone again this season, and with luck, some new faces too. Best of luck to all, make that training count, and ride hard or just enjoy it (or both!). For any other information, please contact Julian Niles-Cunnington at julian.cunnington@gmail.com
