This year’s event attracted a large field of 76 riders, including 12 women and 4 tricyclists. Unfortunately a sunny morning turned into a wintry afternoon with hail, sleet, rain and temperatures of just a few degrees. Despite the conditions, there were some excellent times, with winner Ben Healy covering the 15 miles in 29:29, well over 30 mph, and over 4 minutes clear of the next fastest rider.
Sadly this year the team honours went to VTTA, whose best 8 results on Vets Standards pipped those of the BMCR riders.
