API Anglia Sport/Moda Bikes Handicap

Another epic dry but windy at at Darley moor today, In a change of format we had a brilliant Handicap race dominated by 2 riders who rode brilliantly. With the GHW group have a lap and half start, The ABCD Scratch had to work hard to bring the race back together. After 20 or so minutes Antony Wallis was away from the scratch group with Bob Paxton, These riders caught the EF group and took the evergreen James Stewart with them. Meanwhile the remainder of of the scratch group evetually caught the remaining groups, and the superb Lindsay Clarke was able to stay with them and maintain her lap lead. The Wallis group was now Antony on his own chasing the remnants of the scratch group with Lindsay in tow. With a lap to go he needed to close 15 seconds to catch and Lindsay. He was short by a few meters. A brilliant ride by both riders, and a fantastic overall race in very tough conditions. The race was spread all over the circuit. The race results are below, I think and hope they are correct. Thanks to the 30 hardy BMCR riders for turning up and riding and making it an epic Darley day.
