BMCR Supporting Clubs

We are hugely dependent on those clubs and teams who provide the backbone to our race organisation. We recognise any club or team which either organises an event, or has/had at least five of their members as members of BMCR during the last twelve months, as a BMCR Supporting Club. We encourage BMCR Supporting Clubs to be listed here, but only do so with their consent.
Any enquiries about supporting status, or to get listed on this page, please contact clubs@bmcr.org.uk.

Paramount CRTShrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandParamount CRT is a cycling club in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, that offers an all-inclusive opportunity to ride in various groups on organised club rides. Each group follows club guidelines to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and fun ride, generally finishing with refreshments back in town after the ride. Within the club we have current and former experienced Road Racers, active time triallists, sportive riders, cyclo cross riders and many that do a few or all of these. What all of us want is to enjoy getting out on our bikes in whatever form it takes. We hope that Paramount CRT is an environment in which you can do just that, where you can learn from others and progress to leading club rides for the benefit of other club members. What we do: Promote cycling in a safe, inclusive and accessible manner; Run regular club rides, periodic big days out, races, reliability rides and social events; Host a closed Facebook group and WhatsApp groups for advice and to facilitate ad-hoc rides with other members; plus a club calendar showing club, local and national events; Provide high quality club kit at cost prices

Southend Wheelers Cycling Club
South London
Southend Wheelers Cycling Club was established over a hundred years ago in 1923. Over the years it has moved from strength to strength and has a rich history in promoting and supporting cycling events including road races, such as the Andrews Trophy Road Race, and a suite of time trial events. We have a longstanding connection with BMCR in which club members have been involved with LVRC/BMCR management, and with riders supporting and members organising race day events. We anticipate this will continue for the foreseeable future. In addition to supporting younger riders into the sport through coaching we are seeing many of our older members pinning on numbers and competing. This year the club has been awarded BC Focus status as we look to see how we can support female cyclists in the sport.
