BMCR cyclocross championship 2019

All the podiums from this the last LVRC cyclocross championship held at the Warwick Adventure Sports Centre. Mick Ives dropped a bombshell at the end by saying that, after 11 years, his team will not be promoting the cross championships again. However they do propose to resurrect an old cross event namely that of a Madison-Cross. Sounds interesting.

Wind Splitters Derby Track Series

Presented by Rutland Lighting & Cancer Research

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the riders who have ridden the track at Derby throughout 2019, it truly was an exceptional year! Your personal performances were staggering at National level and as it turns out, it rolled over to World level as well. A huge congratulations to all the medallists on all fronts, simply remarkable. The new series will be starting again on the 16th of January, all events are already on Rider HQ. Your presence is once again required.

Due to popular demand, I have split the racing nights this year, so that there are some on the normal Thursday evenings, and the remainder on a Saturday night. Just in case you have been on a different planet and missed all the announcements. Anyone wanting to ride, who live an unmanageable distance for a week night, you know have your opportunity to pitch your fitness and speed against some of the fastest masters in the world, male and female! So we all look forward to receiving you in the new season.

Finally, on behalf of the Wind Splitters team at Derby, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and have great healthy New Year! See you all then…
