On another bright but cool evening the EFGH riders were set off with a half lap lead but straight away the ABCD’s split in two chasing them. Under this determined chase the leading group was caught after 4 laps with the ABCD’s still split. The first prime was taken by Ross Courtnell. After a further 5 laps the second bunch caught up with the leaders in time for the second prime which was taken by James Mead. Immediately after the prime Paul Hart , Ross Courtnell, Matt Steel and Marco Copolla escaped. Within the next two laps Hart went clear on his own and Coppola dropped back to the bunch. Hart didn’t look like he would be caught and at 3 laps to go he was over a minute clear with the bunch now altogether. Hart comfortably took the win 2 minutes clear of the bunch where Coppola escaped in the last kilometer to take second with Steel just taking third from Courtnell. Stephen Piper was the first EFGH rider.
Overall after 3 events Paul Hart comfortably leads Cat A with a max 12 pts; in Cat B Matt Steel leads with 7 pts from Matt Holmes with 6 and Marco Coppola with 5; Jamie Bishop leads Cat C with 7 pts from Murat Ozdenya with 6; in Cat D Antonius Wubben just leads with 5 pts one clear of paul Turner, Jason Fitchew and Keith Waller all on 4; Stephen Piper leads Cat E with 8 pts from Martin Meades on 6; and Chris Dunn leads Cat F with 8 pts.
