The Ron Day MK Bowl Race 12
The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 12- 29th Aug 2023 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative). THE LAST RACE OF THE SEASON 😢
Firstly Congratulations to the ‘Ron Day Memorial’ cup winner 2023 – Roland Elsdon. Roland won his age catagory the most this season. Well done 👏
A Great turn out for our last night. Thank you to all that came to support and to our marshal Jason Giller. We were able to run 2 races staying inside the gates. The rain didn’t hold off, but it didn’t stop some strong riding tonight,. A four man break in the EFGHW race went away early, James Stewart left the 3 behind, staying away to take the win and lapping the main field after 23 minutes of racing. The 3 left in the break took 2nd, 3rd and 4th ahead of the bunch.
The ABCD race saw Gavin Howell and Aleck Hornshaw form an early break with a 30 second lead. Gavin then rode away from Aleck, leaving him on his own, to be caught by the bunch. Glenn McMenamin won the bunch sprint.

The Ron Day MK Bowl Race 11
The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 11 – 22nd Aug 2023 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative).
A beautiful night for racing tonight. The riders opted for one race with 6 ABCD riders giving the EFGHL riders a good workout. It didn’t take long for the Gavin Howell train to split the group with many single riders left riding round the circuit. These riders soon formed a second group. James Stewart had a few flying laps off the front of the breakaway group but was brought back. Impressive riding by lots of riders tonight hanging in with some fast racing. Well done to all our winners.
Last race of the series next week and presentation of the Ron Day Memorial cup. Please be at the start for 6.50pm of this.
