The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 8 – 11th July 2023 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative).

One race again tonight staying inside the bowl. The riders started in the rain but it stopped raining and we even saw the sun towards the end.

Aleck Hornshaw and Andy Smith broke away from the group gaining a 30 second lead. Aleck took the win from Andy followed by Steve James who won the bunch sprint.

The Ron Day Memorial MK Bowl races – Race 7 – 4th July 2023 (Sponsored by Church Lane Creative).

MASSIVE THANK YOU to those who turned up to support the event tonight, our first proper wet event of the season. We as organisers really appreciate you turning out to race and support the effort we put in.

Only one race tonight as no one from the ABCD category came to race, so 2 ladies and 5 men from the EFG category had a safe, wet race on the inner bowl.  Pat Ellerbeck attacked the group, taking Mim Taylorwith him and by lap 14 they were over 30 seconds up on the rest of the group, staying away till the end. Huge congratulations to Mim who took the win, winning overall, first E and first Lady. The second group sprint was won by David Pinkney. 

Massive thank you to Dick Selley for setting up and taking down, to Paul Bird for standing in the rain marshalling and to Peter Nolan for his first aid support. Without this help I could not run these events.
